The camera crane is a 6-12 foot boom arm with a robotic remote controlled head at the end that can tilt and pan up, down, left and right. The camera crane dramatically increases the production value and cinematic properties of a wedding video and also adds to the emotion and excitement of the film. By having the camera videotape above all the action it allows the viewers of the film to enjoy a “birds eye” view of the wedding. It also makes the wedding video look that much more like a Hollywood movie since the majority of Hollywood movies utilize camera cranes.

When the camera is on the crane we actually shoot with two different types of lenses in order to capture a varying degree of shots. We shoot with both a wide angle and telephoto lens.

• The wide-angle lens allows us to capture a wide perspective  of what we are shooting; creating a large and panoramic perspective and making everything look bigger and more dramatic.
• The telephoto lens allows us to zoom into the action and compress the scene so everything looks closer with the addition of making everything look even more cinematic.

Their ceremony was at the Mission Sikh Gurdwara and their cinematic beauty shots were taken at the Mission West Coast Express train station and Heritage park. In addition to the camera crane we utilized our steadicam stabilization device to help us achieve the smooth flowing shots seen in this video.

We produced Sonya & Charanjiv’s wedding video with a very traditional and sacred style in mind. From the music to the shots to the locations, this video is a very unique and artistic wedding highlights video.

In regards to the flow of the wedding. the negotiations just before the Doli took a twist for the sisters who were expecting a large payout when Jaskern sneaked inside the house via an open side window, which re-enforces the fact that anything goes during the negotiations. Logic would agree that there is little leverage to negotiate if the groom is already inside. But of course, as the scenario would have it, Jaskern was quickly kicked out of the house and sent to the front door where he would actually need to do a bit of negotiating and exchanging of money!

Their wedding engagement took place at the Riverside Banquet Hall in Richmond with beautiful decorations and a colorful theme. It seems as though some people we spoke with at the engagement party believe that Adarsh is the perfect one for Neha because he can handle her very well. That could be true. But we’d say they are perfect together because of how happy they make each other feel.

So back to the party then? Well let’s just say it was nothing short of awesome and it looks like Adarsh and Neha actually have some pretty good Bollywood style dance moves. Did the camera bring out this talent by making them feel like movie stars? Did they practice before hand? We think it is just what they do and contributes to how awesome they are!
